1938 Boltax I
1947-sILVER
A redesigned copy of the 1936 German Boltavit, the nickel plated Boltax I uses Bolta size film, the lens is a Picner Anastigmat 40mm f4.5 and a Picny D shutter. Both are mounted on a collapsible helical, which is also used for focusing. It has a distinctive torpedo shaped viewfinder. The top plate is removable for film loading, the big lever on top is for Opening up and/or Locking the top plate to the body. The knob on the top plate advances the film and the shutter is cocked by a lever on the shutter and tripped by the opposite lever.
